The problem is most agents don't know effective prospecting methods. And I don't mean just cold calling.

Re: 20 Characteristics of a Powerful Real Estate Agent

Neil, After reading those 20 characteristics I don't think there is one of them I couldn't stand to really improve on. I loved the advice you gave Mark Dolan in focusing on the 3 of them for the next 30 days which would have the greatest impact on our business. I plan on studying those characteristics and determining TODAY what those 3 are for me. Then I will focus on those to help get the improvement I need. Thank you for all the great lessons and I'll look you up at the Retreat! It is quite a mental approach, but has some good things to say.

Now in a very different direction, I would say agents, no, human beings, have to allow the feelings of sadness, anger, fear, and not stuff them with slapping the ol' happy face over it. When you begin to allow feelings to flow, like water off a ducks back, those feeling don't run you and you don't have to "fake it until you make it". When you really get to the core of where those feelings come from, What blocks you from success in business and relationships) they cease to run you and you stop attracting people and situations into your life that don't serve you. Just putting a happy face on isn't really the key to success, fulfillment, peace and happiness. Healing the issues from your past, mostly your early past, that are BENEATH the sadness, anger, fear (those things we are taught as kids are "negative emotions", and not OK) is the way to lessen the control they have over your life. This then becomes the way to success, fulfillment and happiness!

What we resist, persists and grows in strength. So don't reject that part of you, deal with it, heal it... and watch life get greater, more positive and more abundant!

Re: Why It Pays to Be Consistent

I will continue to stay consistant and follow my schedule, thanks for sharing these great videos, have an awsome day!!

Re: Why It Pays to Be Consistent

Excellent and self-evident. Cutting taxes is never the answer; all that does is drain funds from schools, public safety, parks and recreation, etc. When everybody is working they buy cars, homes, vacations, etc; which is why I see this recovery as sustainable.

Re: The Key To Success & Failure, is the Same

I enjoy these videos very much . Along with BPO comes liabilty too, and it is not even your own listing. Priorities in growing your real estate business ....i have worked a BPO or few, but never would I only want to do BPO's. I attened Mike Ferry conventions a few times. Seeing, listening and talking with brokers-realtors making $200,000-$500,000 annually from their real estate sales showed me if they are doing that, I could too. Of course we have different things come up in life becasue life happens, however, focus and visualizing, and work in progress can make that happen. If others are doing that, I can too. I can do it! You can too!
